The Best Fashion Books You Haven’t Heard of

There seems to be a widely known group of fashion books that every fashionista worth their salt has read. But what if you want to branch out? Explore something different? Once every so often, I happen on a book that really speaks to me as a fashion-oriented person. I have kept track of these books, and compiled them into a comprehensible list. Happy reading!

Chinatown Pretty

Quite possibly my favourite book on this list, I thought it was only fair to put Chinatown Pretty first. It is such a heartwarming read, and has some outstanding street style. I happened upon it in Barnes and Nobles and was instantly enthralled. If you use the link below to purchase it, 100% of the profit will go to Chinatown nonprofits. Seriously, if you’re going to read any of the books on this list, read this one. You won’t be disapointed.

The Conscious Closet

Do you want a thorough guide to creating a sustainable closet that works for you? Look no further. Elizabeth L. Cline does a superb job of taking you through sustainable brands, thrifting, and repairing worn out garments. A must-read for anyone trying to reduce the impact that fashion has on the environment (which we all know is MONUMENTAL).
