Poly Styrene was the lead singer of the punk band X-Ray Spex. They were in action mainly during the 70’s, and had a very unique and feminist take on the world. Poly Styrene had a very unique style that matched perfectly with the music she and the band put out. Her dad was Somali, making her one of the few people of colour that dominated the punk genre. She was a trailblazer for both women and people of colour.
